We'll be using MIT's StarLogo Nova to build models and run simulations during this course.

Open a test model by going to this URL http://slnova.org/GUTS/projects/20704
Press the "Setup" button, then the "Forever" button
You should see 4000 colored fish moving. Depending on your internet bandwidth, the fish will either be moving smoothly or unevenly.
Minimal tech requirements for taking this course:

Dual Core-series processor (Dell 745 or higher)
Windows XP or newer OS
Modern browser (Google Chrome preferred) IE 11 or greater, Firefox, Safari
Adobe Flash version 11.2 or better installed (14 is the latest)
Mac:
Intel Core Duo (1.6 GHz or higher)
Mac OSx 10.6.8
Modern browser (Google Chrome preferred) IE 11 or greater, Firefox, Safari
